Cameron University Office of Teaching and Learning is seeking tutors in ALL subjects for the Center for Writers, Center for Academic Success, and Math Lab. Please see below for more details and information on how to apply!

Center for Writers Tutor 

Cameron University’s Center for Writers is seeking a new writing tutor. Hours are flexible and depend on your class schedule—up to 20 hours per week at a rate of $9 per hour. Duties include working closely with students to provide face-to-face and virtual assistance with various aspects of the writing process, keeping accurate records of tutoring sessions, maintaining files, answering the telephone, responding to emails, and scheduling. In addition, the tutor facilitates learning as a guide and coach to assist students in becoming successful, independent learners.

Center for Academic Success Tutor

Cameron University’s Center for Academic Success is seeking a new tutor. Hours are flexible and depend on your class schedule—up to 20 hours per week at a rate of $9 per hour. Responsibilities include tutoring in various subject matters, especially effective study strategies, and some general clerical work as assigned.

Math Lab TUTOR

The Cameron University Office of Teaching and Learning is seeking Math Tutors for the Mathematics Laboratory. Hours will be flexible according to your class schedule and will depend on the needs of the Math Lab. Up to 20 hours per week at a rate of $9 per hour. Math Tutors provide individual and small group tutoring in Math. The tutor facilitates learning as a guide and coach to assist the student in becoming a successful, independent learner. The purpose of tutoring is to increase and enhance mastery of concepts or applications of specific courses of study for Cameron University math students. A tutor must demonstrate the ability to establish rapport quickly, communicate well with a diverse student body, and maintain patience to support and guide students toward success.
