Interdisciplinary Studies Application

Once students have determined which concentrations to choose, this application must be completed. An essay is required and can be uploaded to this application.

To be considered for admission as an Interdisciplinary Studies student, applicants must complete an essay outlining the rationale for the proposed degree. This essay must address the following:

  • Why you are choosing Interdisciplinary Studies/your educational objective.
  • Your specific academic or career goal and how an Interdisciplinary Studies degree will help you attain this goal.
  • Why a traditional degree does not meet your academic goals or needs.
  • Why you chose the disciplines you indicated on your application and how they work together to meet your academic or career goal.

The essay should be at least one page in length, and formatted according to the APA Publication Manual and must be included with the application for admission.
