The Lawton Farmers Market, an initiative of the Southwest Growers Association, will return to the Cameron University Animal Sciences Building from November 2 through May 2, 2020. The winter market will operate each Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., beginning on Saturday, November 2, continuing through the beginning of May 2020. The facility is located on the west side of the 900 block of SW 38th Street. Parking is available on the south side of the building. For more information, visit www.lawtonfarmersmarket.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
For those looking to source local produce, meat and handmade and artisan items, the winter market is the place to go. In addition to sprouts, micro greens, meat, eggs, honey, nuts, and more, fall produce will abound. Be on the lookout for apples, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, pears, potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, turnips, winter squash and more.
The Lawton Farmers Market attracts vendors from across southwest Oklahoma and welcomes new vendors to the winter market. All vendors at the Lawton Farmers Market are members of the Southwest Growers Association. Meat and eggs are regulated by the USDA, and prepared food items (with the exception of baked goods), are produced in a certified commercial kitchen for which the vendor is licensed. All crafts and handmade items are made by the vendor.
