With 14 submissions for its Project DREAM initiative, the Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) at Cameron University is encouraging community members to vote for their favorite idea. To vote, go to www.dreambigoklahoma.com, click on VOTE, select Project DREAM in the drop-down menu, review the submissions and then vote for your favorite. You can vote once per day through February 28. The two business ideas that receive the most votes, along with two ideas selected by the judges, will be pitched to a panel of business experts in mid-March. At stake is a potential grant of up to $5,000 and the opportunity to compete for a chance to win a statewide grand prize.
“Every successful business starts with an idea,” says Arun Tilak, Director, CETES. “Sometimes the most difficult part for budding entrepreneurs is articulating an idea and getting feedback. Project DREAM provides a launching pad for business ideas. Here at CETES, we are committed to assisting individuals in moving their business ideas towards reality.”
The 14 ideas submitted by entrepreneurs in Comanche, Jackson and Stephens county span a variety of industries, including child care, publishing, video production, food service, self-improvement, apparel, educational gaming, community improvement, retail, agriculture, technology, and more.
