Cameron University Concert Band to present concert

The Cameron University Department of Music will present the Cameron University Concert Band in concert on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. The concert takes place in the Cameron University Theatre. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior adults. Cameron students, faculty and staff with CU I.D. are admitted at no charge.  

The Cameron University Concert Band is conducted by Dr. Matthew Mireles. The concert will include “Fanfare for Spartacus” by James Curnow; “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo” by Malcolm Arnold, arranged by John P. Paynter; “Ave Maria” by Franz Biebl, arranged by William L. Ballenger; “Scenes from The Louvre” by Norman Dello Joio, including the movements The Portals, Children’s Gallery, The Kings of France, The Nativity Paintings and Finale; and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. The concert will also include the Oklahoma premiere of “Solace” by Kenyon Wilson.
