Cameron University Concert Band and 77th Army Band unite for free, combined concert

The Cameron University Concert Band will be joined by Fort Sill's 77th Army Band for a combined concert on Thursday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. The Cameron University Concert Band is conducted by Dr. Matthew Mireles, and the 77th Army Band is conducted by Chief Warrant Officer 1st Class Matthew David. Admission is free.

The repertoire for the concert includes “Wiener Philharmoniker Fanfare” by Richard Strauss, “Florentiner March” by Julius Fucik, “Sketches on a Tudor Psalm” by Fisher Tull, “Variants on a Mediaeval Tune” by Norman Dello Joio, “Blue Bells of Scotland” by Arthur Pryor with Mireles as euphonium soloist, “Sheltering Sky” by John Mackey, and “First Suite in Eb Major Op. 28” by Gustav Holst.
