Artwork by Cameron University professors selected for international exhibition

Cameron University faculty members Katherine Liontas-Warren and Monika Linehan have had artwork accepted into “Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century,” an international juried exhibition presented by Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon. Liontas-Warren’s “Lulu in Blue” and Linehan’s “Lulu” are among 54 works selected from more than 600 submissions from around the world.

Liontas-Warren’s “Lulu in Blue” is a carbon pencil drawing with white conte on blue paper. Linehan’s “Lulu” is a pastel drawing on paper. The exhibition will be on display from February 21 through March 28 at the Clatsop Community College Art Center Gallery.

Liontas-Warren, Professor of Art, joined the Cameron faculty in 1984 and teaches drawing and printmaking. She holds a Master of Fine Art degree from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University.

Linehan, Associate Professor of Art, joined the Cameron staff in August 2004. She teaches Advanced Drawing, Figure Drawing, Beginning Painting and Advanced Painting. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts from Cameron University.
