Cameron University Concert Band to present concert

The Cameron University Department of Music will present the Cameron University Concert Band in concert on Tuesday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. The concert takes place in the Cameron University Theatre. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior adults. Cameron students, faculty and staff with CU I.D. are admitted at no charge.  

The Cameron University Concert Band is conducted by Dr. Matthew Mireles. Members include

Kelsey Alden Cox, Irmtraud Bryant, Brittany Curtis, Prezell Duckett, Lacey Flaig, Anthony Gustave, Daniel Jones, Joseph Kinsman, Britnie Mendenhall and Paul Smith, all of Lawton; Tommy Agee, Lorenzo Diaz, Gus Echols and Marquis Williams, Duncan; Tabatha Den Dekker, Kelly Knapp and Dylan Shadaon, Elgin; Jake Downing, Poteau; Lilah Gilmore, Iowa Park, Texas; Lori Jester, Sterling; Cole Martin, Cache; Tyler Reeves, Denton, Texas; Austin Tinney, Marlow; and Ja’lyn Yarbrough, Anadarko.

The concert will include John Philip Sousa's "The Liberty Bell," which is also recognizable as the theme for "Monty Python's Flying Circus," "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Elliot Del Borgo, "Elegy for a Young American" by Ronald Lo Presti, "The Tree of Life" by Anthony Barfield, Shostakovich’s "Prelude Op. 34, No. 14," "Incantation and Dance" by John Barnes Chance and "Benediction" by John Stevens.
