Cameron University Foundation establishes endowed scholarships to honor President Cindy Ross

The Cameron University Foundation has established three endowed scholarships honoring President Cindy Ross. The Cindy Ross President’s Distinguished Scholarship, the Cindy Ross Endowed Scholarship for Single Parents and the Cindy Ross Endowed Scholarship for Minority Students have been created thanks to the generosity of community supporters who have chosen to acknowledge President Ross’ leadership by contributing to the Cameron University Foundation. Those supporters have provided more than $50,000 in donations and pledges.

“I am deeply honored that so many valued supporters of the Cameron University Foundation chose to recognize my time at Cameron,” says President Cindy Ross. “These community and business leaders understand the importance of scholarships to open the door to a college education for our students.”

Major donors to the three endowments include the Massey Family Foundation, the McMahon Foundation; Bill, Brad, Karen and Sylvia Burgess; Joe and Sherry Ford; Steve and Sherry Bentley; Ronnie and Diane Denham; Dr. Charles and Betty Graybill; Merrill Lynch; William Crawford; Mayor Fred Fitch; Bill and Barbara Ann Hughes; Terral and Karen McKellips; Loren and Rebecca McKeown; and Neil and Melvalyn Springborn.

To date, more than 115 donors have made contributions to fund the endowments. Scholarships will be awarded for the Fall 2014 semester.

Great Plains AMBUCSTM have established an additional endowed scholarship in Pres. Ross’ honor.
