Cameron University to host orientation session for student veterans

Cameron University will host an orientation session for student veterans on Saturday, August 11 from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. The session will take place in the McMahon Centennial Complex and will serve as an orientation for adult students who are veterans of the armed forces.  It also serves as a way to connect student veterans with campus resources, the Cameron University chapter of Student Veterans of America, and other student veterans.  Registration is required. Please call 580-581-2244 to register.

In addition to providing information pertinent to all first-time freshmen, the session will include information and resources specific to veterans. Current student veterans will participate in a panel session, an overview of veterans benefits will be provided, and lunch will be served to those who have RSVP’d.

Cameron University requires all first-time freshmen or freshmen who have less than 15 earned college credit hours to attend an orientation session. Adult orientation, including this veterans’ orientation session, is for persons who graduated from high school in 2010 or earlier.
