Pinkston to chair State Regents Council of Business Officers

photo of Glen PinkstonGlen Pinkston, Vice President for Business and Finance at Cameron University, has been elected Chair of the Council of Business Officers (COBO), an advisory council to the Chancellor, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education staff and the Council of Presidents, for the 2012-13 academic year. The Council of Business Officers conducts studies and issues reports in the review of business affairs, provides support and guidance to other OSRHE councils in rendering advice for matters of business affairs, and proposes business and related policy and procedures affecting the best practices of state system institutions.

“My colleagues on the council honor me with this position,” says Pinkston. “I will work with them as we examine business-related policies and procedures that impact Oklahoma’s public colleges and universities.”

As Chair, Pinkston will preside at COBO meetings, appoint committees to study issues affecting higher education, and, working with OSRHE staff, prepare the agenda for COBO meetings.
