Cameron University Department of Music presents free faculty recital by Doris Lambert and Kristina Henckel

The Cameron University Department of Music will present a faculty recital by Doris Lambert, soprano, and Kristina Henckel, piano, on Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m. in the McCutcheon Recital Hall. Lambert will be joined by alto Dale Nomura for vocal duets, and Henckel will be joined by pianist Yasuko Amano for piano four-hands presentations. Admission is free.

The program repertoire will include “Nocturne in F-sharp Major” by F. Chopin, performed by Henckel; “Slavonic Dances, Opus 46” and “Slavonic Dances, Opus 72” by Dvorak, featuring Henckel and Amano; selected duets from Brahms, Opus 61 and Opus 66, featuring Lambert and Nomura; and “Tune for an Ill-Tempered Clavichord” by composer Jim Stephenson.

Lambert, an adjunct instructor of music, conducts the Cameron Centennial Singers. Henckel, also an adjunct music instructor, is the piano accompanist for both the Centennial Singers and the Spring 2012 Cameron/Lawton Civic Chorale.
