Cameron University business student receives national scholarship from Delta Mu Delta

Cameron University senior Lacey Morgan, a senior from Lawton, has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship from Delta Mu Delta, the international business honor society. Morgan is pursuing a Bachelor of Accounting Degree. She is an active member of Cameron’s Iota Sigma chapter of Delta Mu Delta and the fourth Cameron student to receive a national scholarship since the Iota Sigma chapter was established in 2000.

“Receiving a national scholarship from Delta Mu Delta is a great honor,” says Greg Treadwell, chapter adviser. “Lacey is being recognized for her outstanding academic record and her drive to succeed. She sets a great example for all Cameron business students.”

Morgan received the A.J. Foranoce Award, named in honor of former Delta Mu Delta president A.J. Foranoce, and one of 27 national scholarships presented annually by Delta Mu Delta. Recipients must be business students who have completed 50 percent or more of their coursework. Applicants are judged on the basis of academic record and performance, demonstrated leadership and service to the institution and community, and character.

Morgan maintains a 4.0 grade point average. She is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi, the international all-disciplinary honor society.
