Cameron University/Lawton Community Band and Cameron University/Lawton Civic Chorale present combined concert

The Cameron/Lawton Community Band and the Cameron University/Lawton Civic Chorale will present a combined concert on Sunday, February 26 at 3 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students/senior citizens. Cameron University faculty, staff and students are admitted free.

Conducted by Doris Lambert, Adjunct Instructor, the Cameron University/Lawton Civic Chorale will perform portions of the Brahms “Liebeslieder Waltzes,” accompanied by Kristina Henckel and Jiha Choi on piano.

The Cameron/Lawton Community Band, conducted by Dr. Jim Lambert, Professor of Music, will perform “Fairest of the Fair” by John Philip Sousa, Faure’s “Pavane” arranged by Larry Clark, “The Grand Old Duke of York” by Perre La Plante, Paul Murtha’s arrangements of “Stevie Wonder in Concert” and “The Best of Miami Sound Machine,” “Armed Forces Salute,” and Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever March.”

The two performance groups will combine to perform James Swearingen’s arrangement of “America the Beautiful” and Emerson and Murtha’s arrangement of “Irving Berlin’s America.”
