Cameron University business forum to address economy of India

Cameron University’s Bill W. Burgess Jr. Business Research Center (BRC) will host “Challenges and Opportunities for the Indian Economy,” a business forum on the economy of India, with keynote speaker Dr. Amit Gupta.  Scheduled for Friday, October 5, from 11 a.m. – Noon, the forum will take place in the School of Business, Room 111. The forum is open to the public at no cost.

Dr. Gupta will explore economic opportunities that are available to India in the coming decade. He will also discuss challenges that can potentially derail India’s attempts to economically develop. Following Dr. Gupta’s remarks, he will be joined by Arun Tilak, Director, Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies, and Dr. Ankur Nandedkar, Assistant Professor of Management, Cameron University, for a panel discussion.

Dr. Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Security Studies at the U.S. Air Force’s Air War College in Montgomery, Ala. He is also an external researcher for the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College. Dr. Gupta’s research and publications have focused on weapons proliferation, arms control, South Asian security issues, globalization and Australian security policy.
