Cameron University Theatre Arts holds auditions for spring production

The Cameron University Department of the Theatre Arts will hold auditions for “A Year With Frog and Toad” on February 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre. The show will mark the final production of the 2011-2011 season, A Year of Playhouse Triumphs. Auditions are open to the Lawton/Ft. Sill community and all Cameron students, faculty and staff. The production will be directed by Scott Richard Klein, Chair, Department of Theatre Arts.

In addition to the two lead roles of Frog and Todd, numerous other roles are available for all ages. Anyone wishing to audition should prepare a song from a Broadway musical of their choice and bring either sheet music or an audio recording (without vocals) for the song. Those interested in auditioning are also advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as dance steps will also be included in the audition process. For more information about auditions, call the Cameron University Department of Theatre Arts at 581-2346.

With music by Robert Reale and book and lyrics by Willie Reale, “A Year with Frog and Toad” is based on Arnold Lobel’s much-loved children’s books about Frog and Toad. In this colorfully fun production, audiences follow Frog and Toad through a year of excitement and adventures.
