Cameron music students shine at National Association of Teachers of Singing conference

Cameron University music students Melissa Delgado and Angelika Ramsdell competed at the regional conference of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, held at Oklahoma Baptist University in early November. Delgado, a mezzo-soprano, and Ramsdell, a soprano, were named among the 18 semi-finalists from universities from Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. They were among 500 students who participated in the competition.

Cameron University Assistant Professor Dr. Jan Logan accompanied the students to the competition, and adjunct faculty member Doris Lambert provided piano accompaniment.

Delgado, a senior, is pursuing a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in vocal performance. Ramsdell, a junior, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree. Both are from Lawton.
