Cameron’s Dr. Roy Couch to present recital of tuba music

photo of Roy CouchDr. Roy Couch, assistant professor of music at Cameron University, will present a recital of tuba music at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, in the McCutcheon Recital Hall. He will be accompanied on piano by Dr. Ruth Morrow from Midwestern State University and percussionist Grant Johnson, a Cameron University senior. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for military/senior citizens/pre-college students. Cameron University faculty, staff and students are admitted free.

The program will include “Concerto for Tuba” by Alexander Arutiunian, “Five Songs” by Johannes Brahms, arranged for tuba by Donald Little, “Latin Jazz Suite” for tuba and congas, “Two Songs” by Robert Spillman and “Rumanian Dance No. 2” by Dumitru Ionel. Dr. Morrow will perform a solo piece on the piano, “Bethena” by Scott Joplin.
