The Cameron University Concert Band will be joined by the Lawton High School Band for its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, March 29. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Cameron University Theatre. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, military and students. Admission is free to Cameron students with a CU ID.
The Cameron University Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Roy Couch, Assistant Professor of Music, will perform “Spirals of Light” by Sean O’Loughlin, “Mayflower Overture” by Ron Nelson, “Incidental Suite” by Claude Smith, “They Hung Their Harps in the Willows” by W. Francis McBeth, “America Verses” by Timothy Broege, and “Dancing at Stonehenge” by Anthony Suter.
The Lawton High School Band, under the direction of Karen Torbert, will perform “Riders for the Flag March” by John Philip Sousa, “A Nation’s Prayer” by George W. Warren and William Steffe, arranged by James Ployhar and “Fantasy on Yankee Doodle” by Mark Williams.
