Cameron University receives donation from AT&T

Cameron University has received a $12,000 donation from AT&T, which the university will utilize to assist in the funding of several student-related programs. The gift will be targeted to programs coordinated by the university’s Student Services division.

“AT&T’s contribution will allow us to enhance the programs offered by Student Services,” says Cameron President Cindy Ross. “These programs play a vital role in helping Cameron students acquire the skills, knowledge, values and attitudes that will enable them to lead creative, productive and self-fulfilling lives. Because of AT&T’s investment in Cameron University, we are able to provide our students the opportunity for an affordable and enriching experience in higher education.”

“Improving our educational system at all levels and ensuring that more students stay in school and graduate are important goals for AT&T,” says Bryan Gonterman, President, AT&T Oklahoma. “An educated workforce will help to bring new businesses to our state, generate better-paying jobs and strengthen our overall economy.”

“Corporate support of higher education is an important element in ensuring that our colleges and universities provide a complete college experience,” says Rep. Ann Coody. “Partnerships such as the one between Cameron University and AT&T allow our education system to continue to excel.”

The mission of Student Services is to promote student growth and success by assuring a dynamic and fulfilling college experience. Student Services provides programs, activities, and services that complement, enhance, and support the educational process while building a lifetime bond to the university.
