CU@SC returns with “Holiday Victorian Tea”

Camaraderie, good cheer, good conversation, and good food will reign when the CU@SC series returns with a “Holiday Victorian Tea” on Friday, December 10. The special event is hosted by Cameron University professor Dr. Vivian Thomlinson, an avid collector of Victoriana, and takes place at the Simmons Center’s Chisholm Hall at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 and $5 for K-12 students; CU students, faculty and staff are admitted free with valid CU ID. Seating is limited and reservations are required. To RSVP, call 580-581-5506.

Thomlinson will read Victorian-era  poems to celebrate the season, and Kelly Silber, an adjunct instructor in Cameron’s Music Department, will play carols on the flute. Refreshments will include an assortment of English “tea time” goodies including cucumber sandwiches, crumpets, scones and jam, English trifle, and a variety of hearty teas served in china teacups.

CU@SC’s Holiday Victorian Tea is made possible by the Simmons Center Community Spirit Program.
