Cameron Student Wellness Center hosts “The Path to Recovery” presentation by Roadback, Inc.

The Cameron University Student Wellness Center will host “The Path To Recovery,” a presentation by Roadback, Inc. that focuses on prescription drug addiction. The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 16 at 2 p.m. in the CETES Conference Center on the Cameron University campus. The event is open to the public at no charge.

“Prescription drug addiction is a growing problem in the United States,” says Deanice Shegog, Director, Student Wellness Center. “Because the medications were originally prescribed by a doctor, many addicts fail to recognize that they have a problem. Recognition of the signs of prescription abuse and dependence can result in life-saving interventions. The Cameron University Student Wellness Center is pleased to present experts from Roadback, Inc. whose expertise can provide vital information to prescription drug users, their friends and family members.”

Roadback Inc. is a Lawton-based non-profit organization that provides substance abuse treatment services. It is certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) and has been accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
