Cameron University Concert Band joins 77th Army Band for annual combined concert

Cameron University's Concert Band will unite with the 77th Army Band for the annual combined concert on Tuesday, April 28 in the University Theatre at 8 p.m. Dr. Roy Couch serves as conductor for the Cameron Concert Band; CWO David Downer conducts Fort Sill's 77th Army Band. Admission to the concert is free.

The combined bands will perform John Williams' "Liberty Fanfare," "American Patrol" by Glenn Miller, "God of our Fathers" by Claude T. Smith, "Broadway Showstoppers" by Warren Barker, "Song without Words " by Rolf Rudin, and "Shenandoah" by Frank Ticheli. Music lovers will also hear John Philip Sousa's "The Freelance March," and two arrangements of movie themes by John Williams including the theme from "The Cowboys" and "The Symphonic Marches," which features music from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "The Empire Strikes Back."
