STUDENT OFFICE ASSISTANT - SOCIAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT

The Department of Social Sciences is currently accepting applications for the position of Student Office Assistant starting as soon as possible. The selected applicant will work up to 20 hours per week. Duties will include, but are not limited to, answering the department telephone, greeting visitors, filing, sorting, shredding, distributing material across various areas of campus, and performing other office-related duties as assigned. The position is open to all majors EXCEPT History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Social Studies Education. This position offers a variety of responsibilities that will benefit students by helping to build a career portfolio and supporting efforts to obtain a full-time position upon graduation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have good computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel. They should have good oral, written and organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and a willingness to work as a member of a team. Applicants must be available Monday through Friday.
