Letter from the Chair

Stephanie BossWelcome to Cameron University and we are excited that you have expressed an interest in exploring our Sports & Exercise Degree Program.

Our undergraduate program offers a mixture of academic coursework and fieldwork opportunities that encompass the exercise science discipline.  Emphasis of preparation includes placement of the student ‘early on’ within the real world setting. To achieve this outcome, our commitment relies in the ability to collaborate with community based businesses/school sites and surrounding institutions with the intent to build upon the student’s unique skill set throughout the degree program.

Central to the success of this department is its faculty. We boast a student-focused, service oriented, and highly energetic faculty. Our faculty is involved in a variety of projects to include: Fit Kids Coalition, Special Olympics, Lawton Public Schools, Military Based Activities, Hospital/Clinical Settings and Gateway Success Center. These projects provide numerous opportunities for our undergraduate students to become involved in the community and develop networking skills for future endeavors.

If you would like more information about the Sports & Exercise Degree Program, I would be happy to assist you in any way possible and look forward to visiting with you in the near future.
