Ethel Marie Gibson Endowed Scholarship in Biology and Health Science

This scholarship was created to assist deserving Native-American students enrolled at Cameron University and pursuing a degree in the area of science.

This Scholarship shall be awarded based on the following criteria: 

•  Recipient must be Native-American and provide proof of CDIB status card
•  Preference will be given to Chickasaw and Choctaw tribal members
•  To be eligible, the recipient must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA throughout degree completion
•  Preference will be given to female applicants
•  Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours to receive and maintain the award throughout degree completion
•  Preference will be given to student-athletes
•  Once appointed, a student may retain the scholarship throughout degree completion but not to exceed 8 semesters
