Endowed Scholarship Of The 1961 National Championship Junior Rose Bowl TEAM

Established in February 2012 to assist former athletes who have exhausted their NCAA eligibility.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. The recipient must have lettered in two separate years or in two separate sports as a member of a Cameron University intercollegiate athletic team.
  2. The recipient must be a full time student who has utilized all of his or her sports eligibility and who either (a) lacks less than thirty (30) hours of academic credit for a baccalaureate degree at Cameron University, or (b) will attend graduate school at Cameron University.
  3. This scholarship shall never be awarded to the same recipient for more four (4) semesters.
  4. Should Cameron University reinstate football as an intercollegiate sport, former members of the Cameron University football team who have lettered shall be given first priority in awarding this scholarship.

The recipient of this scholarship shall be selected by a committee composed of the Athletic Director of Cameron University, the head coach of men’s basketball and the head coach of baseball. If Cameron re-institutes a football program, the head football coach shall replace the head coach of baseball on the committee. A decision by a majority of the committee shall be treated as a unanimous decision.
