Do you plan to participate in Commencement?

Cameron University will hold a special fall graduation ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020. Students who plan to participate must register to attend the ceremony. With social distancing regulations in place due to COVID-19, guest seating in Cameron Stadium will be limited. We want to make sure that you have the opportunity to mark this special day with the special people in your lives!

Please be aware, registering for Commencement is NOT THE SAME as applying for graduation. Applying for graduation with the Registrar’s Office is part of the required process to obtain your degree. To apply for graduation, please contact the Cameron University Registrar’s Office at 580.581.2238 or by email at registrar@cameron.edu.

The October 10 ceremony is open to all students who completed degree requirements in December 2019, May 2020, July 2020, or will complete their requirements in December 2020. Remember, qualifying students MUST apply for graduation in order to participate in Commencement.

Students who register for Commencement will be provided a special wristband that will give them access to the stadium field where candidates for graduation will gather. By registering for Commencement, you are helping the university adjust seating availability so that the greatest number of guests can be admitted to Cameron Stadium. Initially, each graduate will be limited to two guests, however that number could change depending on the number of graduation candidates and the number of guests they hope to bring. Students who register for Commencement will be notified if the number of guests they are allowed to bring increases, but at the very minimum, each graduate will be allowed up to two guests.

Guests must be wearing wristbands in order to be admitted to Cameron Stadium for Commencement. Guest wristbands will be mailed to graduation candidates for distribution; graduates will receive their wristbands in the same package.

Commencement will be live-streamed, so family and friends who cannot attend in person will be able to watch you as you are recognized for completing your studies.

Please take a moment to fill out and submit this online form so that we can track the number of students planning to graduate, and how many guests they would like to bring if seating permits:
