Faculty Award for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching
The Faculty Award for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching will recognize a Cameron University faculty member who performs superbly in the classroom by exhibiting one or more of the following criteria: incorporating instructional technology; providing high impact learning activities; increasing student engagement; or adapting instruction to student needs.
Nominee must be at the rank of Instructor or higher and must have been employed full-time at Cameron University in a position with teaching as the primary responsibility for at least three years.
Nominees who meet the criteria will be asked to submit a current curriculum vitae and a portfolio (up to five pages) that demonstrates the nominee’s mastery of teaching techniques that positively impact student learning. Examples of portfolio artifacts could include student/peer/chair evaluations; narrative summary of the nominee’s teaching philosophy; or innovative responsiveness to student feedback.
