CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Piano performance experience through accompanying soloists, small and large ensembles and musical/opera productions. Rehearsal 2-4 hours plus practice each week. Prerequisite: Departmental permission. May be repeated for credit.
Students enrolled in accompanying provide a limited amount of piano collaboration services for the Department of Music. Priority is given to ensembles, music theater and/or opera productions, and required degree recitals. Other services are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In many cases, students will find it necessary to hire a professional accompanist.
