QUALIFICATIONS
My qualifications for this position include a Doctorate in special education and experience teaching at the university level. I also have twenty-two years of teaching experience (2 in regular education & 20 in special education) in the public school system. I have taught both elementary and secondary students in areas of Specific Learning Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Mental Retardation, Other Health Impaired, and Autism. I am knowledgeable in assistive technology and completed my dissertation in this area with five adult individuals with autism. I have also written and received funding for five IDEA grants to establish educational programs for students, family, and the community.
