Melodrama

From our Production of Dracula.
A classic story of
Good vs. Evil.
A genre which is the most popular in film and television dramas.
Melodramas present a confrontation between good and evil.
Characters are shallow and are stereotypes.
Action and violence are very prominent, but usually all ends well with good triumphing over evil.
They often contain a serious action caused by the villainy of a unsympathetic character such as Dracula.
