Dramatic Time vs. Actual Time

Most plays ocurr in dramatic time rather than actual or chronological time where a second is a second, a minute is a minute, etc.

Plays can cover one day or a hundred years in a two to three hour "actual" time block.

This is done to condense the action and heighten the experience.
