I am also interested in auditory perceptual illusions such as spectral motion aftereffects, the tritone paradox, psychology of music, and lateralization of global versus local processing of acoustical stimuli. For more information, check out the links below.
Specific research projects include: a) examining the relative contributions of various cues to rhythm perception and inference of musical meter; b) the importance of harmonic-structure and the timing of harmonic events for inference of musical meter; c) the affects of alcohol consumption on temporal and spatial integration in the auditory system as evidenced through detection and discrimination tasks; d) positive- and negative-priming of frequency- temporal locations; e) spectral motion after-effects and the tritone paradox.
