
Multimedia Design Club Mission
1. To prepare students for a professional
career in multimedia design by helping
them acquire professional skills and experience while still in school.
2. To provide service to Oklahoma
communities and enhance the sense of public
responsibility among our club members through interaction with the community.
3. To represent, lead and unify the students of the Department of Multimedia Design.
4. To encourage enthusiastic school support.
Multimedia
Design Club Constitution
We the students of the Cameron University
Department of Multimedia Design, in order
to promote camaraderie among students, establish a community presence, and
preserve
the well-being of the Multimedia Design Department, do hereby establish and
adopt this
Constitution for the Cameron University Multimedia Design Club.
Article I - Name
The name of the organization shall be the Cameron University Multimedia Design Club.
Article II - Purpose
1. To prepare students for a professional
career in multimedia design
by helping them acquire skills and experience while still in school.
To provide service to Oklahoma communities and enhance the sense of public
responsibility among our club members through interaction with the community.
2. To represent, lead and unify the students
of the Department of Multimedia Design.
3. To encourage enthusiastic school support.
Article III – Organization
The Multimedia Design Club shall consist of elected officers, general members, and faculty advisors.
1. Elected Officers
A. The elected officers shall consist of the
President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
B. Each office shall be elected by means of a club-wide election held in the
Fall semester.
C. The elected officers must maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average, and
must be in
good standing with the University.
D. Elected officers must not be on any sort of academic or disciplinary
sanction, nor have
any type of enrollment hold.
2. General Members
A. General members must be full or part-time
Cameron University students.
B. Members must be in good standing with the University.
3. Faculty Advisor(s)
A. The faculty advisor(s) must be a current
member of the Cameron University faculty.
B. Elected advisors will be elected by a majority vote of the incoming
officers.
C. Removal of advisors will be instituted in accordance with the Department of
Multimedia
Design guidelines.
Article IV – Powers and Duties
Section 1 – President
The President shall:
A. Preside over meetings.
B. Appoint members of committees with a majority approval of voting members.
C. Be an ex official member of all committees.
D. Have the ability to call special meetings.
E. Vote only in the case of a tie.
F. Be responsible for attending meetings under the same rules as the other
elected officers.
Section 2 – Vice President
The Vice President shall
A. Perform the duties of President, if the
President is not available to serve.
B. Be a voting member of the Multimedia Design Club.
C. Be responsible for attending meetings under the same rules as the other
elected officers.
D. Assume all responsibilities as delegated by the President.
Section 3 – Treasurer
The Treasurer shall
A. Keep all financial records of the
Multimedia Design Club.
B. Submit in writing an itemized statement of funds spent, funds appropriated,
and funds remaining.
C. Cooperate with the appropriate administrators in the achievement of the
Treasurers duties.
D. Be a voting member of the Multimedia Design Club.
E. Chair the fund raising committee.
F. Be responsible for attending meetings under the same rules as the other
elected officers.
Section 4 – Secretary
The Secretary shall
A. Keep all records of the Multimedia Design
Club except those of finances.
B. Maintain the minutes of all meetings.
C. Receive and send all official correspondence of the Multimedia Design Club.
D. Keep attendance records at all official Multimedia Design Club meetings.
E. Be a voting member of the Multimedia Design Club.
F. Be responsible for attending meetings under the same rules as the other
elected officers.
Article V – Meetings
A. The Multimedia Design Club shall meet
every week at a time and
place as specified by the general members.
B. All meeting shall be open.
Article VI – Amendments
A. Proposed amendments to the Constitution
may be brought before the
Multimedia Design Club by any of its members.
B. Proposed amendments must be approved by two-thirds of Multimedia Design Club
members present to take effect.
Article VII – Ratification
The Constitution becomes effective upon
majority approval of the
Multimedia Design Club members voting, and acceptance of the faculty advisor.
