About Professor Walton

Biography

Justin Walton is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Communication at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He specializes in small group research, dialogical approaches to communication, and social interaction, and also teaches courses in public speaking, communication theory, and intercultural communication. In addition to his teaching and research, Walton serves as the department's advisor for students concentrating in speech education. Professor Walton has taught at Cameron University since 2000.

A native of Oklahoma, Professor Walton graduated from Oklahoma State University and is completing his graduate work at the University of Oklahoma.

Some of Walton's personal interests include reading, movies, politics, and spending time with his girlfriend, Sarah.

In 2002, Walton was recognized by the Oklahoma Speech-Theatre-Communication Association as the "Outstanding Young College Teacher" of the year.
