Section 1, Text Analysis (40 points):
For this section you will be given a document selection chosen from among those that you have read over the past several weeks and asked to analyze it and answer three questions on it. The key here will be your ability to analyze texts and draw conclusions from your analyses.  All of the answers to the questions will be contained in the text you analyze or will be related to your general knowledge about the Ming empire.  You should review (don't memorize) all of the primary sources set for the Ming empire unit and your notes to prepare for this section.
