Section 1, Text Analysis (40 points):
For this section you will be given a document selection chosen from among those that you have read over the past several weeks and asked to analyze it and answer three questions on it. The key here will be your ability to analyze texts and draw conclusions from your analyses.  All of the answers to the questions will be contained in the text you analyze or will be related to your general knowledge about the Ming empire.  You should review (don't memorize) all of the primary sources set for the Ming empire unit and your notes to prepare for this section.

Section 2, IDs (15 points):
I will choose three of the first fifteen terms below.  For each term be prepared to supply the following information: 1) who/what the term was 2) when it was of importance and 3) its historical significance (i.e. why is it important to our understanding of the time & place with which it is associated).
