Final Research Presentation Guidelines

  1. You must be on time for the presentation, i.e. at the beginning of the last day of regular class for the course, which is 6:30 p.m. on May 7, 2008.  Failure to be on time will result in an automatic failure on the presentation.
  2. You must speak for 10 minutes and be prepared for a few questions; Speaking less than the required time will result in a mandatory reduction of 20% from the presentation mark for each minute below the prescribed 10 minutes.

  3. You should speak without referring constantly to your notes; I would not recommend a prepared speech, but rather some key points on a notecard or two.

  4. In your presentation you should simply present the findings of your Research project, including a description of the sources used for the project, the project's context, the question(s) you examined/tried to answer, and the findings/conclusions.
