Informal Writing #3

In chapter 3 of A Short Guide to Writing about History, Richard Marius and Melvin E. Page introduce the notion that historians use different approaches to writing: description, narrative, exposition, and argument.  Pick one of the chapters from Curtin assigned for 9-6 or 9-8 (i.e. one of the chapters on pp. 73-110) and write a one-page commentary in which you specify which modes of writing Curtin uses to write the different passages of the chosen chapter.  Ground your explanation with analysis of key passages from Curtin and be sure to document your use of Curtin properly (with regard to documentation I want a good effort but I am not expecting perfection).
