A retired faculty member at Cameron University [effective May 6, 2000] with rank of Professor Emeritus.
I became a faculty member at Cameron University in the Fall Semester 1970 with a faculty rank of Assistant Professor in the department of Education and Psychology. At that time we were described as "Cameron College" and Cameron was a four year undergraduate institution. My professional interest has always been in the delivery of educational services to children.
My teaching experience includes:
Public school teaching in both junior and senior high settings,
Counseling in junior high, senior high and elementary schools.
And of course, my 30 years as a Professor of Education at Cameron University.
My personal and faculty development interest in recent years has been the introduction and use of "Internet" activities as an instructional vehicle for both teachers and their students.
I hold the following degrees:
Ed.D from Oklahoma State University - College of Education
MT or Master of Teaching from what is now the University of Central Oklahoma.
BA (English) from the same, University of Central Oklahoma.
My very first "Higher Education" experience was as an undergraduate freshman/sophomore student for 2 years at C.S.A.C. (Cameron State Agricultural College). At that time, Cameron was a 2 year Junior College.
Prior to that, I am a product of Duncan, Oklahoma Public Schools, having graduated Duncan Emerson Elementary and Duncan Senior High School.
