Graduate Advisor - School of Education and Behavioral Sciences
My Duties include:
- Create and process plans of study for degree-seeking graduate students in the fields of education and behavioral sciences.
- Advise and enroll students who are seeking graduate degrees in the fields of education and behavioral sciences:
- Master of Science in Behavioral Sciences with Psychology or Alternate options
- Master of Science in Educational Leadership
- Master of Education in Reading
- Master of Education in Education with options in Elementary Education, Literacy, Special Education, Secondary Education, and Teaching and Learning
- Advise and enroll students who are non-degree seeking in the fields of behavioral sciences and education to include Cameron’s collaborative programs with East Central University:
- M.Ed. with School Counselor or Library Media option
- Master of Secondary Education, Sports Administration option, and
- Certification requirements for school psychometrist.
- Enroll students who are seeking licensure within the field of behavioral sciences
- Advise and assist students who are seeking alternative certification
- Prepare, administer, and send notification of results of comprehensive examinations for the Department of Psychology and Human Ecology
- Conduct Introductory Seminar for the Department of Education
- Document progress of students through the various program requirements:
- Program admission
- Course sequence requirements
- Transition points
- Program Completion
