Jay Johnson
     A PLUS Scholar while attending Cameron University, Jay Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was recognized as a Top Twenty Student, and served as President of the Student Government Association and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

     After graduation, he earned a master of health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia.

     Currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, Johnson credits the caring faculty at Cameron University for encouraging him to do more - in academics and in life. One look at his long list of accomplishments and awards indicates it is a lesson he took to heart.

     Johnson's commitment to helping others extends beyond his professional life. He was given the Leadership Oklahoma Community Service Excellence Award and recognized by the Dallas Urban League as Outstanding Volunteer. He has volunteered as an executive and board member for many community service organizations and agencies including Adult Day Care Services of Southern Oklahoma, Ardmore Rotary Club, Saville Center (Child Advocacy), Stillwater Area United Way, Boys Scouts of America Will Rogers Council, and the Payne County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
