Dr. Terral L. McKellips spent 34 of his 40 professional years in the service of Cameron University.
McKellips graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1961 with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. He earned his master of science degree in mathematics and his doctorate degree in mathematics and higher education administration from Oklahoma State University in 1968. That same year, McKellips came to Cameron. Throughout his tenure at CU, McKellips played a pivotal role in the university's transition from a junior college to a four-year university and then a master's granting institution. McKellips also helped develop Cameron's academic and administrative information technology infrastructure, as well as its interactive television and online course delivery systems. McKellips has been treasurer of the United Way Board of Directors. Organizations benefiting from his volunteer work include the Cameron University Foundation Board of Directors, the Mathematical Association of America and the Consultants Bureau. McKellips has been honored with the NSF Science Faculty Fellow Award and he with induction into the Cameron Alumni Faculty Hall of Fame. |
