Dr. Gilbert "Gib" Gibson
     Dr. Gilbert "Gib" Gibson has been a leader in the Lawton/Fort Sill community for more than 45 years.

     Gibson attended Oklahoma State University and later graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Gibson opened a dental practice in Lawton before becoming a successful business entrepreneur in the banking industry and nationally recognized spokesperson for Southwest Oklahoma. His career highlight to date has been his appointment as Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Oklahoma in 1994.

     Gibson is the Founding Trustee and current President of the Lawton Community Foundation. He also serves as a board member for IBC Bank and the Oklahoma State Fair.

     The past two years have been marked with prestigious awards for Gibson. In 2004 he was named Lawton Ambucs Man of the Year, and last year he was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

     Gibson's relationship with Cameron spans more than four decades. Both of his children attended the university and many of his employees received their education at Cameron.
