Aulena Gibson
     Aulena S. Gibson has been a long-time Cameron supporter.

     Gibson became a fan of Aggie athletics after meeting legendary CU basketball coach Ted Owens, and she quickly dedicated herself to all Cameron students. In her continuing commitment to the Cameron University Foundation, she has served as Chairman, and was responsible for initiating Cameron's highly successful President's Partner program, which has provided financial support for Cameron students for more than 40 years.

     Gibson graduated from Tahlequah High School before reveicing her bachelor's degree in music education from Oklahoma State University. She went on to teach junior high school music in the public schools of Independence, Mo. for three years before moving to Lawton.

     Gibson is active in many community organizations. She volunteers with the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, Arts for All, Friends of the Library, Voluntary Action Center, International Festival and the Cameron University Foundation. At First Presbyterian Church she serves as a choir member, organist, teacher, deaconess and elder.

     Gibson also writes "Tree Tracers," a weekly column published in the Lawton Constitution for 25 years.

     Gibson has been recognized with several awards throughout the years, including Citizen of the Arts, First Lady of Lawton, Governor's Arts Award for Community Service, and Cameron Distinguished Service Award.
