Dr. Mark Morvant, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Executive Director of the OU Center for Teaching Excellence, and a leader in the open source and custom textbook imitative at OU, will be the primary speaker. He is bringing a team, which will include Stacy Zemke, the OU librarian working on the OU library’s part of this project. In addition to the lecture/presentation at 2:00 PM, there will also be some workshop possibilities during the day for people already engaged in working with open source and custom textbooks. Flipping the Classroom

What is involved in flipping the classroom at the University level?
What are the best practices and what are the pitfalls to avoid? There will be workshops during the day and a presentation at 2:00. We ask that faculty already engaged in flipping the classroom contact us via email to help us to shape the presentation.
