• COMPUTERIZED PLACEMENT TEST (CPT) given on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m..  There is no charge for the test.  It consists of English, Math, and Reading (or any combination of the three).  Bring photo ID and "Steps for Enrolling Page from Admissions.  Information and study guides can be found at www.collegeboard.com/accuplacer and www.testprepreview.com. On the testprepreview page go to Accuplacer.  Students over 21 or active duty military are required to take the tests (students under 21, placement is determined by ACT scores; can challenge ACT scores with CPT).
• COLLEGE LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP) given on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. (by appointment only).  The fees are $70.00 to CLEP (by money order, check, or credit card) and $15.00 ($25.00 for Freshman Comp. with Essay exam) to Cameron University (by check or money order only).  Active duty military has no charge.  Call ahead approximately two weeks prior to test date.  Bring photo ID and payment.  The results will be available immediately after the exam, except Freshman College Comp. with essay and English Comp with essay exams.  Credit will be recorded on  transcripts as a P upon obtaining the required score, approximately two weeks after exam (nothing will be recorded if the exam is failed) if student has completed 12 semester hours (pending official results from CLEP).  If not, then at end of the semester 12 semester hours have been completed.  Additional information available at www.collegeboard.com/clep
• RESIDUAL AMERICAN COLLEGE TEST (ACT) given on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. (by appointment only); (students will need to arrive at 12:45 p.m.).  Given at CU-Duncan approximately every month (must call Duncan to get dates and register).  The fee is $35.00 (check or money order made payable to Cameron Universtiy).  Call ahead approximately two weeks prior to test date.  Bring photo ID and payment.  Results will be available approximately two days after test.
• DSST (FORMERLY KNOWN AS DANTES SUBJECT STANDARDIZED TEST) given by appointment (exams are computerized).  The fees are $70.00 to DSST (DANTES) (credit card only), and $15.00 to Cameron University (check or money order only).  Active duty military and spouses have no charges. Results are available immediately after exam.  Credit will be recorded on transcripts as a P upon obtaining the required score, (nothing will be recorded if the exam is failed) approximately two weeks after exam if student has completed 12 semester hours (pending official results from DANTES).  If not, then at end of the semester 12 semester hours have been completed.  Additional information available at  www.getcollegecredit.com
• ONLINE AND PAPER-BASED TESTS FOR CAMERON COURSES are given on a walk-in basis (except for the third Tuesday of the month).  Tests can be taken in the Testing Center, Third Floor, South Shepler, Academic Computer Lab, Room 104, Burch Hall, and CU-Duncan (appointments are needed at CU-Duncan).  Hours can be found at www.cameron.edu/online
• ONLINE AND PAPER-BASED TESTS FOR OTHER UNIVERSITIES AND AGENCIES given by appointment only.  The fee is $15.00 (check or money order made payable to Cameron University).  Photo ID required.
• GRADUATE ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM (EPE) given on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Friday at 8:00 a.m..  There is no fee for this exam.  Photo ID (preferably student ID) is required.  Results will be obtained from Claudia Edwards, Graduate Advisor.
• MILLER ANALOGIES EXAM (MAT) given by appointment (computerized).  Call about one week prior to test date.  The fee is $50.00 (check or money order made payable to Cameron Universtiy.  Two IDs are required (one must be photo ID).  Results are available immediately after completion of the exam.  Additional information is available at www.milleranalogies.com 
• INSTITUTIONAL TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL) given three times a year in March, July, and November (other times will be scheduled as necessary).  Registration is done at the Testing Center, South Shepler, Room 316 approximately one month prior to test date.  The fee is $20.00 non-refundable deposit at registration, and $30.00 due on test day for a total of $50.00 (check or money order made payable to Cameron University).  Photo ID is required.  Scores are available same day as test.
