Health Professions Society of Cameron University

All students of the Cameron University campus community who wish to pursue or are interested in a career in health professions such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, radiation therapy, pharmacy, etc. are invited to join.

Dues: Set each year by officers and advisors.  Dues for the 11-12 year are $10 per member.

The Health Professions Society will promote student enrichment by sponsoring discussion groups, speakers, exploration opportunities through Southwest Area Health Education Center, mentoring, interview preparation, and community outreach opportunities. 

Through its enrichment activities the Health Professions Society hopes to help students gain the knowledge and competencies necessary to be successful in the application for professional programs as well as the social skills necessary to be successful professionals. 

Meetings will be held on a bi-weekly basis in the Sciences Complex room #103. Meeting dates for the Spring 2012 semester will be posted soon. Lunch may be provided. In the event of a change in time, date or meeting location, signs will be posted on the door and Facebook, as well as email notification.
