Improving the health of medically underserved communities through recruitment, retention and enrichment of the healthcare workforce.
Departmental Objectives:
- Create opportunities for school age children to learn about health career through job shadowing
- Inform and educate school age children about various health careers
- Provide Cancer Survivorship Education
- Provide rural clinical rotations for medical students
- Recruit for and support a Geriatric Scholars program
- Support programs to encourage students to enroll in math and science
