Fitness and Sports


The Cameron Aggies are proud members of both NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference and compete in 10 intercollegiate sports: Men’s baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, and tennis; women’s softball, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track, golf, and tennis. The Aggies have a long-standing tradition of excellence and have won a remarkable number of conference, regional, and national championships.

The Aggie athletic venues consist of the Aggie Gym, McCord Baseball Field, Streich-Henry Family Tennis Complex and the McMahon Field and Athletics Center. All events are free to the public, with the exception of basketball and volleyball, and CU students are always admitted for free with a valid Cameron University ID.

Schedules are available in the Athletic Department (5th Floor, South Shepler) where you can find posters and schedule cards. Intramural and recreational sports provide a variety of leisure and competitive sports opportunities for students, faculty and staff.  Sports include flag football, basketball, bowling, golf, soccer and much more!!

Intramurals are available to all CU students, faculty and staff.  Members on a varsity sport are ineligible to compete in intramurals of their respective sport.

Aggie Rec Center

The Aggie Rec Center provides the highest quality fitness services to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. The facility is equipped with a vast array of cardiovascular and strength training equipment, located on the second floor. The cardio area consists of several Precor & Matrix treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, and a row machine. The strength training area offers Paramount weight resistance machines and a multitude of free weight equipment. A variety of group exercises are offered weekly each semester free of charge to patrons and an indoor heated pool and lounge patio offer both leisure and fitness opportunities.
